Hoedown & "H"

Last Friday Teddy had his 4th grade Heartland Hoedown. The whole week before he told us how much he hated it, how he didn't get to have a special role in it & everyone else did, how he didn't understand what to do. Alan & I were, of course, pretty sure the night was going to go badly. He was quiet & sad in his seat before the 4th graders went on stage. We were worried & cringing inside. Then they went up & the music started.

He's the blond guy on the top row, if you've never met him. And he did...great! Wonderful! And he had the special role of rolling a small Conestoga wagon across the stage at one point. He made us so proud. And afterwards he talked about how much he liked being in the musical.
So now you all know why we're crazy.
On another note, Teddy will be going to the neuropsych through the Children's epilepsy clinic in February. I'm hoping we'll get some more insight into the lad. Plus, he might be getting in to see the psychiatrist that specializes in kids with epilepsy too, though it probably won't be until spring sometime. But hey, that'll work for now.
The functional behavior analysis is almost done at school. His behavior has improved there over the last couple weeks, but he still has some outbursts at times. Like when the kids were practising for the Hoedown & Teddy threatened to bite the little girl who's waving in the video above. He told me she was pushing him too much, so he said, "I'm gonna bite the H out of you!" "H" was just "H", thank God! So I talked to him when he got home about just asking her not to push him next time, otherwise she doesn't know why he wants to bite the H out of her.
Overall, we're still plugging along here. Hope everyone out there taking it easy!
